At the end of the ’90s, a construction company CIC (Costruzioni Immobiliari Cavour) orders to the Architectural Office of Florence of Stefano and Bernardo Tori and to the Engineer Pietro Mele the restoration and refurbishment of an old factory building in order to convert it to the residential use. The building is located near the suburbs of Siena: it was the old factory of sweets owned by Sapori. The building of 18.300 square metres allows the construction of 74 flats, parkings (for a total amount of 108 car parking spaces), shops, offices and an oculistic nursing home. From the structural point of view, the works were to garantee all the necessary seismic requirements of the building.
